Industry travel publication leader Travel + Leisure announced on August 11 Touring Treasures, a highly regarded luxury boutique tour operator that creates tailor-made vacations to the South Pacific, has once again been awarded a coveted position on the magazine’s A-List for 2017.
Touring Treasures was first recognized by this T + L designation in 2009 and has retained its position on the A-List for best travel advisors and specialists in the industry for its region – Australia and New Zealand – for the last nine years.
Each year Travel + Leisure combs through hundreds of applications to compile its highly selective A-List. The recognition is a testament to dedication to excellence and expertise with a specific destination or interest and is an honor to those who deliver the highest caliber travel experiences from start to finish. T + L’s recommendations are shared with its audience of passionate travelers, who seek expert assistance in planning and booking new adventures. The Travel + Leisure 2017 A-List honorees will be published in its September issue, which will be on newsstands the week of August 23, and appears online at travelandleisure.com/a-list.
Touring Treasures was founded by owners Suzy and Olivier Mercien-Ferol in 2003 as a South Pacific tour operator with a mission to create luxury bespoke travel experiences “Every Step of the Way” from door to door. Services include consulting, expert itinerary planning, making all travel reservations and dining, spa and special interest arrangements. The company does whatever it takes to make the client’s unique journey exciting, inspirational, authentic and memorable.
With a strong focus on experiential travel, each trip is crafted from scratch, including off-the-beaten-path experiences from going to a farmer’s market and cooking with a chef to heli-flying over New Zealand glaciers while enjoying a gourmet picnic on a remote alpine peak to sleeping above soothing lagoon waters in Tahiti to indulging in barefoot luxury in Fiji.
